The college football season starts to take shape this weekend because the SEC is ramping up. Twice I had a chance to play road games against SEC teams - Alabama and LSU - and both experiences told me a lot about college football. It’s one thing to be able to play at schools like Notre Dame or against crosstown rival UCLA but it’s an entirely different experience when you go to Alabama or LSU or any of the SEC schools

Bakeries around the country are finding themselves overloaded with orders for cupcakes early in the college football season. Marie’s Bakery, who handles cupcake orders for several of the biggest schools such as FSU, Ohio State, and LSU, says orders for this year are almost exceeding capacity. “We are getting a ton of requests for cupcakes for first few weeks of the season in order for everyone to look really good, and it’s hard to keep up,” said Marie Kirkman, owner of the shop

Week 3 is going to give us our first major shakeups of the season in The Beardown College Football Top 25 Poll. Work has been hectic today so not much analysis, just know that I should have waited until week 3 to make my Top 25 predictions since a good portion of the teams I have had in here didn’t play too well yesterday. It could be worse, I could have had Michigan in my Top 25 (USA Today Coaches Poll)
